About This Course

This course focuses on the areas of professional liability as it relates to negligence, intentional torts, and client consent. The function of the nurse I explored as it concerns to patient advocacy and risk management. The student is presented to the values underlying legal and ethical issues and methods of rational decision-making related to healthcare. Critical laws and issues connected to present professional practice are explored as follows moral foundations of professional practice; the elements of ethical decision making; and maintaining ethical practice climates in healthcare delivery systems.
