About This Course

This course focuses on the promotion of health and the holistic nursing role in the community. The student is introduced to community nursing practice concepts of community assessment, health promotion, health maintenance, disease prevention, and health education. The nursing care of patient across the lifespan is explored with the attention given to the community, as it is focus on the process of conceptualizing individuals, families, groups, and communities with their surroundings.
